I just watched this on Bravo. I was culling data and glancing at the tv.
I remember seeing this in a movie theater. That was 1990. I was... 14 and a total Tom Cruise fan.
Now I ask myself why?
It's pretty bad. The music. The lines. Everything. I'm going to go ahead and blame the combination of Tom Cruise, Don Simpson, Jerry Bruckheimer, Nicole Kidman, and Tony Scott. Nicole Kidman as a doctor? Please. And to make her a SPECIALIZED eye doctor? Oh hell to the naw!
Well, ok, there's one good scene in there:
Someone asks,"Where's he from?"
And Randy Quaid says,"Eagle Rock."
That someone says,"Is that near [something like Virginia]?"
Randy Quaid says,"No, it's near Glendale... *beat* California."
Haha! Fine. It's only funny to me. :P
The last thing I wanted to point out which I've pointed out in a past entry about a year or so ago...
Cary Elwes.
He's like kryptonite. (Post-Princess Bride)
He's like the British version of DB Sweeney.
Poor guys.
Ah sweet. CASINO is on now. Yeah! I love this movie. Back to data....
Does anyone have recommendations on a (portable) hard drive for a Mac?
I saw several on sale on buy.com and bestbuy.com but wasn't sure how they would work with a Macbook (in reality). I'm not looking to spend more than $150.
My Macbook has 80GB and I have about 8GBs left. LOL. I mentioned it to Bubba and he was taken aback. Hey, I rip a lot of books on cd... and movies and tv shows... what can I say? About 25 GB is music, a couple movies, and about 16 books on cd. I also have a bunch of programs that suck up my hard drive space - Final Cut Express, Office 04,
I also need to back up all of my photos.
I figured I'd like something around 120-160GB so I could partition it: 1. all media and 2. everything else.
Someone...? Thoughts?
Film & TV writers are on strike, which means everything except reality TV could halt production. Do you support the strike? Are any of your favorite shows in jeopardy?
Of course I support the strike. Studios get millions of dollars in revenue and only give a tiny fraction to writers (the creatives who, quite frankly, create shows, movies, etc.) Why wouldn't you want to share the wealth and keep your people happy and productive?
No favorite shows in jeopardy- they're already cancelled. :P Maybe PUshing Daisies but I can wait for DVD.
My birthday's coming up this week and I pretty much have what I want. Ok, maybe I'd like those red Nike Air Cole Haan red patent stilettos, but other that, I'm set. Or so I thought. I need a sleeve for my 1-year old Macbook. My laptop backpack has a space for my laptop but it's really wide and long, so my laptop swings around in there, unsecure.
Does anyone know of a good place to check out sleeves for 13" Macbooks? The InCase RED sleeve would be my default if I can't find anything better.
What do you have, what do you need and what do you want?
Submitted by Miss Scotch.
I have some new stuff I bought yesterday.
I need more time before the semester starts.
I want to be able to buy a house in LA.
You have $100 to spend online in the next hour. How are you going to spend it?
I think I can reserve a couple of bowling lanes online, yes? Ok maybe not.
Well then, I think I'd order some coconut-macadamia nut tea and pineapple black tea.
And then I'll just loan the rest through Kiva.org.
It's my new desktop image. Here's the link: http://www.foxmovies.com/fightclub/flightcard_med.jpg
I couldn't stop laughing when I found it. Oh the memories. I'd have to say that Fight Club is in my Top 10 list.
Short article on Frenemies at Work. Huh. It should also be called Frenemies at School.
